Council Member Stephen Kutz

Stephen represents the State Board of Health on the Health Disparities Council. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Washington University and a Master of Public Health in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University. He has over two decades of experience in tribal public health, having 20 years of experience as a Tribal Council Member, and currently serves as the Health Clinic Director for the Suquamish Tribe. He also has 12 years of experience in county public health for Mason and King County and spent 20 years as an active duty nurse in the U.S. Army, where he focused especially on preventative medicine and community health. Stephen has been appointed to represent the Washington State Board of Health on the Governor’s Interagency Council on Health Disparities.
