How to Get an Item on the Agenda
The Council is interested in issues that can
influence and improve the health of Washington’s diverse communities, and
that can reduce health disparities. The Council meets only four times per year and
has limited time on its agendas. Therefore the Council is most likely to
agree to add an item to its agenda if it is directly related to the work it
is required to do under its authorizing legislation. Anyone can suggest an
item for the Council’s agenda. If you think you have an issue that should be
brought to the Council’s attention, please contact any
Council member or
Council staff at (360) 236-4100. You
may also write to the Council c/o the State Board of Health at P.O. Box 47990,
Olympia, WA 98504-7990.
Providing Public Testimony to the
Council
There are two ways for you to provide public
testimony to the Council. You can provide oral testimony by signing up
during the public comment period, which is included on each meeting agenda
of the Council. You can also prepare written testimony and forward to
Council staff. Council staff will
disseminate written testimony to all Council members.
