Jonathan Green
Representing
the Department of Early Learning

Jonathan is a Program Specialist in the Dept.
of Early Learning, working with the state funded Early Childhood
Education and Assistance Program. ECEAP provides preschool education and
comprehensive family support and health services to over 8,000
low-income children and families across the state.
Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from
Bates College in 1986. He also completed graduate work in educational
anthropology, focusing on school success and failure among different
minority groups.
Jonathan worked for five years in all areas of center-based child care
(from teacher through director) in Phoenix. He worked for eight years in
two different Head Start programs in Seattle. Jonathan joined the Dept.
of Early Learning in May 2007 as a family home child care licensor. In
July 2009 he moved to his current position with the ECEAP program.
